Celebrity-owned fast-food restaurant with more than 50 sites nationwide closing location for good as

FAST-FOOD chain Wahlburgers has permanently closed one location after running out of food.

The burger chain owned by Mark Wahlberg and his brothers Paul and Donnie has over 50 locations in the US.

However, the chain has abruptly closed its location in Ross Township, Pennsylvania.

According to a status on its Facebook page, the restaurant was due to shutter on December 30 at 6 pm, but it was forced to close early.

The unforeseen desperation of those nearby to grab their last Wahlburger meant that the location ran out of food before its closure date.

On Friday, the Block Northway restaurant said: "We are officially closed!

"You cleared us out of food and have to close the doors.

"Thank you everyone for everything!"

A number of customers were left disappointed after hoping to make a quick trip on the restaurant's last day.

"Totally bummed was hoping to stop in tomorrow," one said in the comments.

"I was there the day it opened wanted to be there the day it closed. This one hurts."

Others mourned the loss saying: "Sad to hear this. Was one of our favorites."

"I'm shocked," another added.

No reason has been given for the closure though one customer noted that it was a "bad location within that mall to begin with."

Wahlburger lovers in Pittsburgh are being urged to visit the Robinson restaurant instead.

Meanwhile, customers also noted other locations that they miss and where they hope future locations may be established one day.

"My favorite food place - we’re always great the flecha cocktails amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful so sad it closed in Texas," one wrote.

"Wish they reopened in Orlando," another added before a third wished for an arrival in Canton, Ohio.
