WHEN it comes to large and aggressive off-roaders, it doesn't get much bigger than the Hennessey VelociRaptor.
The brainchild of American tuning house Hennessey Performance Engineering, the beastly 6x6 takes Ford's Raptor and transforms it into a supercharged monster.
The US-based engineering company are offering to tune just 50 of the 2017-18 Ford Raptor trucks under their badge, making the already unusual six-wheeler even more of a marvel.
Boasting an impressive 605bhp, the modified truck comes with six 20-inch wheels, front and rear bumper upgrades, LED lights and roll bar.
And considering the standard Ford Raptor has a power train capable of just 450bhp, that's one significant upgrade.
But these modifications won't come cheap.
For the souped-up Ford, prospective buyers can expect to fork out as much as £260,000.
According to Hennessey, the idea for a six-wheel tune up came about after they received an influx of orders for their 2010 model four-wheeled Raptor truck.
John Hennessey said: “Our VelociRaptor 6X6 is pure aggression on wheels – all six of them.
“The new 2017 Raptor is going to be one of the best all-around trucks ever built.
"We are excited to help take it to the next level both in terms of performance and exclusivity."
It's going to be a busy year for Hennessey, too, with plans to attempt a world record attempt in its £1.2million 300mph Venom F5.
The VelociRaptor isn't the first six-wheeled giant concept to emerge in 2017.
British-based company Kahn Design created the Flying Huntsman 6x6 Soft-Top, a bespoke Land Rover Defender.
The larger-than-life modified vehicle boasts a 6.2-litre V8 engine with 430bhp under the hood, and a unique soft-top roof extension.
